Dallin - Greensboro Senior Photographer

If you want to know amazing people, look no further than the high school seniors around you.  This one here is top notch - not exaggerating one bit.  I met up with Dallin and his sweet Mama for his Senior session back in May.  Dallin graduated from Northwest Guilford High School as a member of the Class of 2018 and is off to college very soon.  Usually I have to coax a smile out of my guy Seniors, but not this young man.  In fact, it was just the opposite!

Quick story that I think exemplifies who Dallin is.  I actually met his family at our church last Fall and I now volunteer in the youth organization there.  A couple months ago during our week night activity, there was a young man sitting in the lobby all alone.  I wanted to grab one of our youth to go invite the boy to come participate in the activity.  I knew exactly who to go to - Dallin.  He didn't even flinch at my suggestion, but instead walked right out into the lobby and started up a conversation with the young man seated all alone.  A short while later, as I was observing the activity, I noticed that the boy had indeed joined in the games.  Where most kids would probably hesitate a little to approach someone they don't know, Dallin was confident and friendly.  Such a small act, but we all know that a little kindness can go a long way.  Definitely a guy to watch because I just know he will be a light for good in this world.

Casey - Miss Forsyth County - Greensboro Headshot Photographer

One of my most favorite things about being a photographer is getting to meet so many new people.  Casey contacted me a few months ago about creating some beauty headshots that she can use when she competes in the Miss North Carolina pageant later this year.  I loved helping her create images that portray who she is.

I met up with Casey and her sweet Mama at the Paul J Ciener Botanical Gardens in Kernersville.  I love this location because there are SO many options for backdrops.  The grounds are stunning and the lighting is always perfection.  It's a little piece of pure beauty right in the midst of downtown.  If you're looking for a way to spend a peaceful hour or two one evening, I highly recommend taking a stroll around the gardens.

Best of luck, Casey!  I can't wait to see what happens this Fall.

Teens and Seniors Influencer Program - Greensboro Senior Photographer

Now that it is officially 2018, I am putting the finishing touches on my Teen and Senior Influencer Program (aka Senior Model Rep).  I know January seems a little early to be thinking about Senior pictures, but believe me summer comes quickly!  And I am already scheduling clients for the 2018-19 school year - hello 2019 Graduates.

One of the things that has been on my heart regarding my rep program is to have a service project aspect.  Because of that, I am changing the title of the program to the Influencer program.  My main mission for my Teen and Senior photography business is to empower today's youth with confidence so they can go out and leave their mark on the world and be ambassador's for good. I feel that by providing them a way to serve their peers will instill a love for helping others and to be an influence for good.

I also want to create a group of youth that will be role models for walking confidently in your own skin. I would love nothing more than to on board underclassmen who can work with me over the next couple years to change the face of beauty in their schools.  It is my ideal that these Influencers will be a mouthpiece to help others gain self confidence and know that they are awesome just the way God made them.

If this sounds like something you or someone you know would like to be a part of, simply fill out the application here: https://audraelkington.wufoo.com/forms/aep-senior-questionnaire/

I am aiming for 2-3 students from each of the local Triad NC high schools - Guilford County/Greensboro schools, High Point, and Winston-Salem schools.  I cannot wait to see the impact we can all make together!
